Partial Solar Eclipse to Grace the United States on April 8, 2024

Eclipse Path to Cross Central Mexico and Parts of the US

On Monday, April 8, 2024, a partial solar eclipse will be visible across the entire United States. The eclipse path will sweep across central Mexico and parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri.

The eclipse will begin at 10:51 am MST and reach its peak at 12:32 pm CST. The total eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

During a partial solar eclipse, the moon passes between the sun and the earth, blocking a portion of the sun's light. Observers in the path of the eclipse will see the sun as a crescent or partial circle.

Partial solar eclipses are a relatively common occurrence, but they are still a beautiful and awe-inspiring sight. If you are in the path of the eclipse on April 8, 2024, be sure to take some time to enjoy this celestial event.
