Auburn Head Football Coach Speaks Out on Ongoing Legal Saga

Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze spoke like a man caught in the middle on Thursday when discussing his perspective on the ongoing legal saga of Michael Oher vs. the Tuohy family.

In an interview with reporters, Freeze said he loves both Oher and the Tuohy family and believes the facts will come out regarding their public dispute. Oher, who was portrayed in the 2009 film "The Blind Side," is suing the Tuohy family, who took him in as a teenager, for alleged financial mismanagement.

"I love Michael Oher. I love the Tuohy family," Freeze said. "I'm just going to let the facts come out and see what happens."

Freeze coached Oher in high school at Briarcrest Christian School in Memphis and served as an assistant coach at Ole Miss when Oher played there from 2005 to 2008.

Oher was a First Team Preseason All-American at left tackle for the Rebels in 2008, perhaps the most important non-quarterback position on the offensive side of the ball.

He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft and played for the team for five seasons. He also played for the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers.
